You will fight and cry... oh
yes! ...a whole lot of times, but if you hold and strive, you will see
clear blue skies with the bright yellow sun as its center piece. Nothing
comes easy if it is genuine and original... if it's meant to last. Even if to
you it does, it comes at the expense of another, thus, the statement still
holds steady and true.
Without a fight to bring a loss
for one and a win for another, we'd never know who the best is amongst any.
Without difficulties to strain and drain on a person's characteristics,
abilities and wit, we'd never know the extent to which we can go when all seems
lost. Clear skies and pleasant waters would be our daily theme closely marked
by a great lack in the skill to ride through storms. Our imagination would do
all the work while we kicked back in a lazy chair enjoying a chilled cocktail.
There'd be no growth and no knowledge. Stagnation and ignorance would be the
order of the day. Life as we know it would simply be a great bore!
James chapter 1 verse 2 and 3
say; "My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your
faith worketh patience." Troubles bring patience? ...i always wondered
at this and thought the scripture was weird till i experienced it myself, and
then it suddenly made sense. You see, the thing is, the natural human nature is
either an overcomer or a failure, depending on how you lead or train it. The
more you try the better you get, but the less you engage and the worse you get
at anything. Think about it this way: at school, in each grade you entered at
the end of the period due you were tested on various things, and depending on
your success rate you were moved a level up or made to repeat the grade. The
other side to this is that as you increased in level a lot that did not make
sense before starts to make sense - your
mind sort of opens up.
The more the number-and-range of
hurdles you encounter and are able to overcome, the more skill you attain. This
is because, it becomes like practice, and at some point practice becomes an
easy routine. Your mind is able to calculate the speed at which you should run
and each height you need jump to in order to maximize your efforts to
completing the run. James, in the earlier verse, was referring to the same
thing; that, the more temptations you overcome, the more experience you gain,
and with experience comes a calm that keeps you patient knowing you know the
way to overcome.
So, yes...
'You will fight and cry... oh yes! ...a whole lot of times, but if you
hold and strive, you will see clear blue skies with the bright yellow sun as
its center piece.'
