Contradiction?

"What about when you feel attracted to someone in a different religion, Muslim per say, and you FEEL not KNOW o, that God Has a plan?"

A friend asked me this question, and in answering him i was inspired to write something on it to help others with similar questions in mind. Just as i told him, I'm still learning to give good/right counsel so bear with me. So, here goes...

First thing every Christian must have drum-beaten into their heads is the fact that the bible is our life manual. We live by it! There is no "Pick your choice" kind of thing available; it is The Word or Nothing! Jesus rightly explained this in Matthew Chapter 6 verse 24 where He said; "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." I believe we all know the truth in this because the paths for each are different and never the same although many are trynna merge the two by calling themselves stuff like gay-christians! Urgh!!! How does that work?!!! Anyway... i digress. Let us proceed. Bear in mind... as Christians, it is either God or the devil... finish!

Next, God's word is true and sure, and thus it DOES not contradict itself. There is no way in this Universe God will say He hates sin (which He severely does) and then one sunny afternoon will suddenly change His mind and say He accepts certain things. His "Yay" is Yay and His "Nay", Nay. It is men who are prone to change, but when God says something it remains as He has said it. Those who are twisting The Word of God for their selfish gain, so that they can do whatever they want and attach the name of God to it will be taken by a great surprise when God says;

"24. Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26. Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out." ~ Luke 13:24 - 28, KJV

I repeat! … GOD DOES NOT CONTRADICT HIMSELF!!! Those who think they can wriggle their way into Heaven are gravely deceived!!! ...and will be taken by such great a surprise!

Now, it is of great import to note that God loves all of man WITHOUT exception, thus, He sent Jesus to bring salvation unto mankind through He, Jesus' death and resurrection. God hates sin not man. To understand this is quite simple; Parents do not hate their children but rather the wrong things they do. The same is true of God. Actually, we humans got that nature from God because we are made in His image and likeness. It is, by far, the greatest form of love to die for someone. God could have simply destroyed us all and created "perfect" beings as our replacements but He loved us so much that, He, The Creator came down to die for The Creation. Jesus set Himself as the example to be mimicked though He did not necessarily have to. That is true love! ...and not the joke-of-an-emotion that man displays thinking he is doing something spectacular. Man's love is riddled with selfishness while God's is drawn from selflessness.  Think about it. It is hard to love when you're offended with even the one person you love the most. If we're not treated fairly then loving becomes a fight, yet, even though Jesus was beaten, mocked, spat on, crowned with thorns and NAILED TO A CROSS... He still said; "...Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." ~ Luke 23:34, KJV Need i say more??

Now that we've got that down, let's answer the question. God is all-knowing. He knows the end from the beginning and thus He, The Creator, knows His creation in depth. He knows how each can be affected and so He created rules to guide us. One of such rules is - 2 Corinthians 6:14 - "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" You see, the thing is, God knows that love is a pure and powerful emotion and thus it can cloud the minds of any human and cause the one to make wrong decisions like converting from His (God's) faith to the faith of another (anything other than Christianity). Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father and the ONLY way to get salvation and make it to Heaven. There's no other way! Which means anyone who isn't a Christian will NOT go to heaven! Should any leave the Christian faith... their end will be the same. Since God does not want any of His children (in this case, the saved) to be lost by conversion to other religions or beliefs, He gave that rule up there in 2 Corinthians. He very well knows the effects love has on a person.

Christians can be friends with anyone but not jus anyone. We are to be like Christ and love everyone and draw them to God... who gives salvation through His only son's death and resurrection. That being said.. i would say, NO! I know God has and will NEVER contradict Himself (as explained above) so there's no way He'd accept marriage outside Christianity. God's word is your absolute RULE BOOK!

Attraction is powerful but can turn out to be infatuation which is rather unhealthy. It becomes a distraction from where you should be heading, or in this case, who you should end up with. The devil tries to thwart all God's plans by the use of temptations and distractions. We need to be careful and be discerning in decision-making or the end result will be complete regret! James Chapter 1 verse 5 says; "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.", and therefore trusting God to guide your choices will resolute in you making the best of choices.

Personally, i have come to notice that when an idea or conviction is from God, He will always confirm it over and over through any means. It could be through your own spirit, through something a friend or family member would say, or a preaching on TV or radio or a comment someone will pass. You just have to be paying attention for the sound of His voice or you could miss His signal.

We all need to learn to listen instead of talking so much all the time...
