Misunderstood?

 You start to grow numb and start to lose feeling in your heart... all save the feeling to be left alone. On countless occasions your heart's gone numb from all the finger pointing of what a "problem" you are. You begin to feel like one of those people who are just never understood. All you hear is complaint after complaint about all the wrong you do, and NEVER the right. You start to try and figure out what's going on, but are too numb to think it through. Realising the futility of your efforts you start to block out everyone and everything in an attempt to forget it altogether, but wall after wall crumbles as the negativity keeps getting through in torrents! This places you in muddy waters, and thus, with your back to the wall you crack! and develop the feeling to disappear! ...to just run to a far far away place ... where the clouds and skies will smile at you, and help you forget.

Sound vaguely familiar?

Your parents think you're a disgrace, friends look down on you and well, strangers... almost literally walk all over you. The attempt alone to do right is not enough, yet, even doing right is misinterpreted as wrong. Turning to corners hoping they'd be more accepting, you realise even the corners are dark and unfriendly. No man is an island, but the thought of being one becomes your dreams and waking thoughts. You avoid contact and communication just to prevent and degrading experience. Sadly, even this doesn't help because some nosy people just won't stay away. 'Island-hood', I've come to realise, is never the solution to this situation. If there's one thing I've learnt, especially from personal experience, is that when a person wants to be left alone they should be. The reason is, what you say or do does not really help at that point in time, it kind'a worsens the situation. What would be prudent would be to pray for the one and wait for a suitable period of time to engage the one.

People will always think of themselves regardless of what lies right before their eyes... it's a sad truth. On the other hand, God is NOTHING like man; He is compassionate and caring regardless of man. He created man, sent His only son to die for this created man, and continues to protect and provide for this same man who sins against Him. God then, noticing man's suffering, says;

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11 : 28 (KJV),
and in compassion He adds;

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - Matthew 11 : 29 - 30 (KJV).

Man always tries to solve his problems by relying on himself or on fellow man... I do it too, and I have never for the life of me ever understood why. The help we seek for never comes, or even if it does come it is fleeting. If ever anyone finds a solution to this problem... do let me know. As powerless as he is, man keeps trying to find his own peace not realising that his kind of peace is simply fleeting. God sent us The Comforter - The Holy Spirit, to be with us always! to help us with every and anything we encounter. God is so interested in our lives that even what we deem unimportant to Him is actually very important to Him. In fact, it is as important to Him as it is to us. He said in His Word; "Ask, and it shall be given you..." - Matthew 7:7 (KJV). All one has to do is simply ask, boldly. Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) says; "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

All I can say is, honestly and admittedly, life is not easy to live, but... we have The Comforter and the love of God to help us through every and anything. Isaiah 43:2 (KJV) "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Trust God with your overbearing burdens and you will find the peace you seek . . .
